You will need a valid Arizona driver's license and a major credit card to rent equipment from A to Z. A deposit is also required. In lieu of cash or check, most of our customers use a credit card for a deposit. An imprint of your credit card will be taken to guarantee that the equipment is returned in the same condition in which it was rented to you.
We invite you to reserve equipment in advance to insure availability. Reserve your equipment as early as possible. Please cancel reservations if your plans change. Reservations are gladly taken over the phone. See Party Rental Policies for specifics on party and events reservations.
Our rental service techs will show you the safe and correct operation of the equipment that you rent. It will be started for you before it is loaded into your vehicle, or when it is delivered, and any questions you have will be answered.
All of our rental equipment is for sale at any time. Our used equipment is a great buy because we maintain it so that it is always ready to rent. When a piece of equipment can stand up to tough rental use, then you can be sure it is durable and easy-to-maintain. If you want to buy the actual piece of equipment that you have rented, we will apply a portion of the rental charges toward the purchase price.
We sell time. We charge for all time out including Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays. Equipment is rented by the day, week or 4 week period. Some equipment can be rented for a 3 or 4 hour rental minimum. One day's rent is up to a 24 hour period. Example -- If you rent equipment for a one day period at 10 a.m. one day, then it is due for return by 10 a.m. the next day. If you rent the equipment for a week on Monday at noon, it is due to be returned before the next Monday at noon.
Equipment rented after 4 p.m. on Saturday can be returned by 730 a.m. on Monday for a 1 day charge. Equipment rented after 4 p.m. on Friday can be returned by 730 a.m. on Monday for a 2 day charge. If equipment is returned after 7:30 a.m. on Monday, normal rental charges will apply. Metered equipment is restricted to 8 hours use on the 1 day rate, and 16 hours use on the two day rate. Additional charges may be incurred if meter readings exceed these restrictions.
Equipment rented after 4 p.m., Monday through Saturday can be returned by 730 a.m. the next day (8:30 a.m. on Sunday) for a 3 hour charge. This rate is restricted to equipment for which a 3 hour rental rate is available. Metered equipment is restricted to 3 hours use. Additional charges may be incurred if the meter reading exceeds this restriction.
Your prompt return of equipment will save you money.
Rentals fees are collected in advance, when you pick up, or upon delivery of equipment. We accept cash (with cash deposit - in store only - no cash payments with pickup or delivery), personal and business checks, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Commercial or governmental charge accounts are available, subject to prior approval.
All equipment rentals are subject to a deposit. Deposit will be refunded if equipment is returned in good condition, and at the time agreed. In lieu of a cash deposit, an imprint of your credit card will be taken to guarantee the equipment will be returned in the same condition in which it was rented to you.
Replacement cost or repair charges will be assessed to you for any lost, broken, dirty, stolen or damaged equipment.
For your protection, we require positive identification of the customers in our store renting equipment, and we need to verify that they are authorized to use the credit card presented to us. We do not accept credit card information verbally over the phone, however we will fax or e-mail an authorization form to you. The form must be completely filled out, signed and faxed back to A to Z. In addition, we ask that you fax a copy of both sides of your credit card and a copy of your driver's license. To request a credit card authorization form, click here. We do not keep credit card information on file. Given the complex nature of the rental transaction, we believe it is safer for our customers if we gather valid credit card information only at the time of each transaction.

Delivery and pick up service is available at an additional charge. Charges are based on the distance from our conveniently located stores to the delivery site. We will give you an exact quote for delivery and pickup charges when you place your order. See below for additional policies regarding Party and Event rentals.
Before delivery of your rental equipment, our dispatcher or driver will call to confirm that there will be someone at the delivery location to accept delivery and verify that all items you ordered are being delivered. Similarly, our dispatcher or driver will call to verify that you are ready to have your equipment picked up. If we are unable to reach you at the phone number(s) you have given, we will not deliver or pick up your equipment until we are able to get in contact with you. Please be aware that delays in delivery or pick up due to inability to reach you could result in additional charges.
Please be available by phone during scheduled windows of delivery and pick up.
At our standard delivery charges, all delivery/pickup times are scheduled in 1/2 day windows. The morning window is from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. The afternoon window is from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
If you have requested and received approval for a specific time within a 2 hour window, you will be charged the standard delivery rate plus $75.00.
If you have requested and received approval for a specific time within a 1 hour window, you will be charged the standard delivery rate plus $100.00.
All deliveries are "Tail Gate", meaning our truck will pull up to the requested address or location and unload rental equipment near the truck. It is the your responsibility to get the rental items where they need to go. i.e. inside a home or building, in the back yard, up any stairs, etc.
All delivery requests other than "tail gate" will be charged by time. Charges will be calculated at $75.00 per person, per hour. If any equipment damage should occur during transport from tailgate to another location, you accept all responsibility. A to Z equipment staff will use reasonable care, but will not be held responsible for damage to property during such transport.
All rental equipment must be cleaned and staged where it was dropped off.
The equipment must be ready for pick up during the scheduled time window. If the equipment is not ready for pick up during the scheduled window, an additional trip will be required. The charge will be a one way standard delivery rate for each unsuccessful attempt at pick up. You are responsible for the security and care of the equipment until it has been picked up.
Deliveries and pick ups before or after business hours or on Sunday are available on a limited basis and only when scheduled a minimum of one week in advance. You will be charged the standard delivery rate plus $250.00. All other policies listed above apply to these deliveries and pick ups.
Same day delivery and pick up is available if our delivery schedule for that day allows. You must inform us of this need at the time the delivery is scheduled. If our schedule does not allow for same day pick up, we will pick up the following day at no extra charge. If we have to bring in additional staff to make the same day pick up happen, you will be charged an additional $100.00.
In addition to the Delivery and Pick Up policies listed above, the following policies apply to Event and Party rentals.
Please reserve party and event equipment in advance to insure availability. Reserve your equipment as early as possible. Please cancel reservations if your plans change. Reservations are gladly taken over the phone. A non-refundable deposit may be required with your reservation during peak holiday seasons.
Set-up and tear down services are available for a fee and must be arranged at least 24 hours prior to delivery.
The fee for set-up and tear down service is $75.00 per person, per hour.
Set-up for Linens, Tableware and Flatware is not available.
All equipment must be cleaned and staged where it was dropped off. Chairs must be stacked. White and Black Resin chairs must be cleaned, put into their bags and stacked.
If you have rented dishes, glasses, silverware, chafing dishes or any other item that you used for food or drinks - everything must be well rinsed. If these items are returned with food or drink remaining, there will be a cleaning charge of $75.00 per person, per hour.
If you have rented linens, please return in plastic bags after shaking out all food and paper products, including confetti-style products. Please DO NOT TIE the tops of the bags as mold may grow! No credit for is allowed for linens returned unused.
